Taylor Swift responded to Dave Grohl’s recent remarks at her sold-out Wembley show, where he suggested that she didn’t perform live. The Foo Fighters frontman had questioned the authenticity of Swift’s performances during his concert in London.

Swift addressed her audience, emphasizing the live performance of her band throughout the three-and-a-half-hour show. She remarked, “What you just did is an unforgettable moment not just for me, but for every single one of our crew. The band that’s going to be playing live for you for three and a half hours tonight.”

The pop icon expressed her gratitude to the audience for their support, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of her band and fellow performers. “They deserve this so much, and so do every one of my fellow performers. You just gave that to us so generously. We’ll never forget it,” she added.

Grohl, on the other hand, took a swipe at Swift during his Saturday night performance, calling her Eras Tour the “Errors Tour” and insinuating that she does not perform live. Addressing the crowd at London Stadium, he joked about Swift’s tour, which was happening simultaneously at Wembley, and received boos from some fans. He quipped, “We were joking about the Taylor Swift tour earlier. I know that she’s on her ‘errors’ tour. I tell you man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift. So we like to call our tour the Errors Tour.”

The Foo Fighters frontman continued, “We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f***ing errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live. What?” His comments received cheers from the audience as he praised raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music.

Despite the current tension, Grohl and Swift have previously had a positive relationship. Grohl has praised Swift’s decision to re-record her albums to reclaim her back catalog and shared an anecdote about how Swift helped him during a performance at a party hosted by Sir Paul McCartney.

However, some online users criticized Grohl’s comments, suggesting that they were motivated by his inability to handle Swift’s success. One user remarked, “Oh Tayvoodoo is coming for him and he deserves it. Can’t handle that a woman is more talented and successful.” Another user added, “Wow Grohl so washed he has to use Taylor’s name for free pr? Embarrassing thought he was better than that what a shame.”

There were also suggestions that Grohl’s remarks were partly influenced by the backlash his daughter, Violet Grohl, faced from Swift’s fans after criticizing the singer for using a private jet for travel between concert stops.

Swift’s dedicated fanbase, often referred to as “Swifties,” have been known to be protective of the singer, and some have expressed their disapproval of Grohl’s comments. Despite the controversy, Swift’s performance at Wembley and her focus on live music stood as a testament to her dedication to her craft and her appreciation for her supporters.
